Reflections on a Remarkable Year

VizExplorer's CEO, David Patent, reflects on the remarkable year that was 2021.

December 23, 2021 Las Vegas, NV - 2021 is almost over and it has been an extraordinary twelve months. We began the year still in the throes of COVID with record case levels, but there was hope on the horizon as vaccines were released to the public just a couple of weeks before we rang in the new year. We end the year with COVID headlining the news again, but with life having returned almost to normal for many of us.

Gaming revenues surged. Gaming stocks surged then retreated. Cashless solutions and iGaming continue to gain traction. Sports betting continued to grab headlines and is now legal in 26 states plus Washington, DC. We got back to in-person conferences with NIGA in July and continued through G2E in October and SBC in December.

For VizExplorer, 2021 was perhaps our best year, and we have our customers and extraordinary team members to thank. We were able to add several new casino customers to the VizExplorer family, released three game-changing new products (with more to come), and several new features and upgrades. As a result, we have never been stronger. We can trace the positive changes at VizExplorer to the mission we set out in 2019 – to be the leading harmonizer of data for the Gaming industry. Our mission is by no means complete but we made great progress because we stuck to these three principles:

  1. Deliver products that drive incredible value to our customers
  2. Make easy-to-use tools for our customers
  3. Support and train our customers like no one else in the industry

One great example is our new VizOnDemand Slot Reporting.

All of our VizOnDemand products install in just a few hours and require virtually no back-end support or troubleshooting. We have come a long way! And there is much more , with another 10-12 products on our roadmap that will cover every major aspect of casino operations as well as Sports Betting and iGaming.

We have seen that the industry still needs the fulsome workhorse Enterprise products that we have offered for nearly 10 years now, and we are proud of the advancements we have made with campaignViz, hostViz, and floorViz over the past year and a half.
I look forward to 2022 as another transformational year for the industry and for VizExplorer. We have much to do and are excited to have so many partners on this journey with us.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all!
